STUDENT ALCOHOL AND DRUG TESTING

Henryetta schools will begin its drug policy and with it, will be its first round of random drug tests. This is an attempt by the district to protect our students from influences we feel that are harmful to them, as well as, the school as a whole. With the passing of this policy by the Board of Education in October, any student involved in any school sponsored activity, not just extra- curricular activities, is subject to testing. This policy is based on Federal and Oklahoma law under the Uniform Controlled Dangerous Substance Act  guidelines. This covers all students in grades 6^th – 12^th grades.
